Te Uru response

On the august the 28th 10ch from Grey High school
came to our school to teach us a game called Te Uru
because they had to do it for some of their work.

This is how you play the game: you have to throw the ball to your team mates to get it down to the pads that you score on you team mates have to catch the ball with a flat palm and if you catch the ball and your touching a pad you score.

I did not really like Te Uru because there was not enough to the game. Maybe next time 10ch needs to actually ref the game and not just turn their backs and talk to each other and try a game like league

refugee poem

            Refugee Poem
Read it down and then up
They have no need to live
So do not tell us that
These worn out faces could belong to you or I
Should life dealt a different way
We need to show them for who they truly are
Beggars and scavengers
Lazy and loungers
With explosives up their sleeves
Murderers and thieves
And they are not
Welcome here
We should make them
Go back to where they came from
They cannot
Have our food
Share our homes
Share our land
Instead let us
build a wall to keep them out
For trump to say
It is not okay
These people are just like us
A place should only belong to those who were born there
Do not be so half-witted to think that
But the world can be looked at from another view

St John Response

St John Response: On the third of September my class went into the tech centre and learnt CPR
and how to save someone’s life when they are unconscious but breathing normally.
Here is a picture of me doing CPR. I found this valuable because
I did not know how to do CPR .
