refugee poem

            Refugee Poem
Read it down and then up
They have no need to live
So do not tell us that
These worn out faces could belong to you or I
Should life dealt a different way
We need to show them for who they truly are
Beggars and scavengers
Lazy and loungers
With explosives up their sleeves
Murderers and thieves
And they are not
Welcome here
We should make them
Go back to where they came from
They cannot
Have our food
Share our homes
Share our land
Instead let us
build a wall to keep them out
For trump to say
It is not okay
These people are just like us
A place should only belong to those who were born there
Do not be so half-witted to think that
But the world can be looked at from another view

  1. Hello Jaxon,
I have just read your poem and all I can say is wow. I can see that you have put a lot effort into this piece of work, although my best friend is a refugee. This poem includes a lot of powerful opinions onto the people of this world, and this really does show some offence towards a lot of people, and that isn't always a great thing to think of to show to the public. I hope this can give some opinion changes towards the way you think of some people.
